It is a wonderful story indeed. But the question is, what are the moral lessons you can get from the story? Join me and let’s find out.
The great moral values, such as truth, freedom, honesty, fairness, kindness, politeness, respect, virtues, perseverance, integrity, to know about one’s duties, charity, compassion, etc. have one thing in common when they are functioning correctly, they are life protecting or life enhancing for all.
Forgive and forget
Each one of us commits mistakes that can hurt anyone. Sometimes, it is so hard to forgive especially when he/she commits mistakes that affect your entire life. But, the only thing that will make your life peaceful is that we need to learn how to forgive. We need to forget who hurt us but never forget what lesson they left to us. We must remember that when we forgive, we recover and grow as a person.
Be Faithful
In the story, we saw the negative effects of having extramarital affair with someone. The one who suffers the most is not the 1st party but their child. It can hurt them emotionally and physically.
As a 21st Century Learner, the short story Sinigang left a huge impact on me. Life is not full of happy endings. But, it is our choice on how we will face the obstacles of life. Keep in mind the quote of Professor Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series. “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”I realized that it does not only happen to one or two families, that it happens in almost half of the population. Cheating is a choice. Cheating is not something you do just because you are a man and woman and you can’t control yourself. No, it is a choice. Because you choose it, even its bad and It’s just sad and unfair to the left partner, she/he will be doubtful of his/her worth, it will bother their minds and hearts for a very long time. As per the children, it will leave a bruise that will forever in their hearts and in their mind , so I really hope these cruel thing comes to an end and i hope go those people, be contented what you have in life . And accept the saying that “not everything you want, you get”
